Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to provide expertise in supporting Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings, and be passionate about optimizing systems to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering expertise to support CMOP operations and infrastructure.
• Analyze and optimize healthcare delivery processes and systems.
• Ensure the availability and functionality of pharmacy operations' infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.
• Develop and implement engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve CMOP objectives.
• Conduct facility assessments and recommend improvement strategies.
• Participate in project planning and execution related to CMOP infrastructure and systems.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, installation, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with coursework in differential and integral calculus and at least five of the following areas of engineering science or physics:
• Statics, dynamics
• Strength of materials (stress-strain relationships)
• Fluid mechanics, hydraulics
• Thermodynamics
• Electrical fields and circuits
• Nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties)
• Any comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics (e.g., optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, electronics)

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Familiarity with healthcare delivery processes and systems preferred.
• Familiarity with the VA environment is preferred.
