The success of the Facility Project Management Office at the U.S. Department of Treasury depends on flawless project execution, and we need someone like you to ensure that everything runs seamlessly. As the Contract Project Manager, your leadership will be the glue that holds together contractor personnel and government stakeholders. Your expertise in managing complex construction projects will directly impact the timely, on-budget completion of key initiatives. Without your strategic oversight, the Bureau's essential operations could face disruptions, affecting projects that are vital to the future of the facility. We need your skills to drive these projects forward, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

 

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll lead the charge in managing construction and renovation projects, ensuring that contractor personnel perform at the highest level. You’ll be interfacing with government stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations. Your ability to coordinate between multiple teams while keeping the project on track is critical. You’ll make sure that no issue goes unaddressed, delivering projects that meet and exceed expectations.

  • Lead and manage construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring on-time, high-quality performance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government representatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.

  • Oversee and address contractor personnel issues, minimizing any disruptions to the task order.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using MS Project or Primavera.

  • Coordinate and lead construction progress meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct needs analysis, develop requirements, and design space plans.

You Need These Qualifications:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, building construction, or construction management.

  • You bring at least six years of specialized experience in commercial construction project management.

  • You have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a deep understanding of construction methodology.

  • You’ve successfully led complex commercial construction or major renovation projects, often managing several at the same time.

  • You’re an expert at interfacing with government agencies, A&E firms, construction contractors, and suppliers, with strong experience developing government project cost estimates.

It Would Be Nice If:

  • You’ve worked with GSA Public Building Services or similar agencies.

  • You’re skilled at developing project schedules in MS Project or Primavera.

  • You’ve managed commercial projects that include a large percentage of systems furniture.

  • You’re experienced at leading teams in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment, fostering collaboration and positive client relationships.
